With the news of the beautiful and talented Misty Copeland being promoted to principal dancer at the American Theatre in New York, making her the first African American female to do so in their 75-year history, and Benjamin Millapied becoming director of the Paris Opera Ballet, it's no wonder the all of us fashionista was to dress the part of ballerina!
When I was a little girl I thought I would grow up to be a ballerina. I stopped taking lessons at at ten, for a number of reasons, and the fact that I have the flexibility of a tortoise prevented my dreams from becoming a reality. I guess I will have to settle for just dressing like one:)
For this look I shopped by closet. I bought this delicate lace Josie romper at Nordstrom Rack a few months ago but found a few very similar items that will work. The ballet flats I purchased at a Zara in Japan last year, but luckily, they are everywhere now and have provided a few options below. Speaking of below...below is a fun board I created with a modern take on the ballet trend.
